This country house, very close to many typical sites of Provence, is only 10 minutes away from the heart of Avignon.

- The Luberon and the numerous hilltop villages (Gordes, Roussillon...) which will bring you back for a few hours to a middle-age atmosphere.

- Avignon (Pope s Palace&) and Villeneuve les Avignon (Fort St André &) where you can enjoy a remarkable heritage in architecture; traces of both Papacy and French royalty, that had elected this area to settle during the XIVth Century.
- L'Isle sur la Sorgue and its famous antique shops that propose every kind of items in the streets of a gorgeous village.
- Fontaine de Vaucluse, and the mysterious whirlpool that Jacques Yves COUSTEAU himself tried to explore without any result.
- Les Baux de Provence, and the Castle of the Marquis.
- Le Pont du Gard , recently classified world monument by U.N.E.S.C.O. for being one of the most characteristic Roman waterpipe .

Your stay in Clairefontaine can also be oriented towards cultural events (Avignon world famous Festival of theater, art exhibition in the Pope s Palace...)

Clairefontaine is also the right place for discovering (or tasting directly in the caves with producers) some of the best vintage wines in the world (Tavel, Chateauneuf du Pape and many other areas of the Côtes du Rhône ).

You can also horseback ride, play golf, tennis or simply walk or ride a mountain bike around our property (ask a map to Christelle and be brave, the sun is tough).
